Vehicle Break-Ins
Prompt Police Warnings
Branford police are
investigating the theft of items from three motor vehicles parked along Jerimoth Drive,
which occurred during the overnight hours of Monday, Aug. 11 and Tuesday, Aug.
12. Police ask anyone with information regarding these incidents to call the
department at 203-481-4241.
Police also said
that while the price of gasoline has risen over the past several months, so
have the incidents of gasoline theft from gas stations as well as from
individual vehicles. Consumers can protect themselves from gasoline theft by
purchasing a gas cap lock if the vehicle does not have a factory locking fuel
filler door.
