Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents,
criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged
are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include
names.
Wednesday, Sept. 24
• A 46-year-old
Northford man was arrested at 6:10 a.m. and charged with violation of
probation.
• A 24-year-old man
of a Hartford Turnpike apartment was arrested at 5 p.m. on a warrant charging
him with failure to appear in the first degree.
• A 34-year-old New Haven man was issued
a misdemeanor summons at 2:06 p.m. for failure to have insurance, failure to
display plate/sticker, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to
have tail lamps.
Thursday, Sept. 25
• A 40-year-old man
of Mill Road
was arrested at 6:12 a.m. and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia,
operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension, and speeding.
• A 48-year-old
Branford woman was arrested at 9:30 a.m. and charged with forgery in the second
degree and misuse of prescription drugs.
• A 20-year-old New Haven man was issued
a misdemeanor summons at 10:07 a.m. for misuse of plate, failure to have
insurance, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating an
unregistered motor vehicle, and failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat.
• A 40-year-old Hamden man was issued a
misdemeanor summons at 11:29 a.m. for failure to have insurance and operating
an unregistered motor vehicle.
Friday, Sept. 26
No arrests were
made.
• A 48-year-old Hamden man was issued a
misdemeanor summons at 10:03 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under
license suspension and failure to drive in the proper lane of a multiple-lane
highway.
Saturday, Sept. 27
• A 35-year-old man
of a State Street
apartment was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with burglary in the second
degree, harassment in the second degree, and violation of a protective order.
• A 62-year-old man
of Thorpe Street
was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:31 a.m. for evading responsibility in
the operation of a motor vehicle following an accident in which there was
property damage and/or bodily injury.
Sunday, Sept. 28
• A 22-year-old man
of Postmans Highway
was arrested at 3:49 a.m. and charged with breach of peace.
• A 46-year-old man
of Clintonville Road
was arrested at 10:40 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence
of alcohol and/or drugs.
• A 33-year-old
woman of Spring Road was arrested at 8:26 p.m. and charged with disorderly
conduct.
Monday, Sept. 29
• A 19-year-old man
of Maple Avenue
was arrested at 10:34 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• An 18-year-old man
of Jennifer Lane
was arrested at 11:11 p.m. and charged with possession of less than four ounces
of marijuana and possession of a hallucinogen.
Tuesday, Sept. 30
No arrests were
made.
From Sept. 24 to 30,
North Haven police issued 15 citations to
motorists for failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat and seven citations
for traveling unreasonably fast. One citation was issued for each of the
following: using a hand-held cell phone while driving, speeding, improper turn,
failure to obey a control signal, failure to maintain the proper lane of a
multiple-lane highway, failure to obey a stop sign, occupying more than one
parking space, and failure to grant one-half of the highway.
