Police Incident Report: Aug. 13 to 19

The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. The report may be edited for size and content.

 

Wednesday, Aug. 13

• A 31-year-old New Haven man was arrested at 1:54 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and criminal trespass in the third degree. While in custody he was arrested again at 6:17 p.m. and charged with interfering with a police officer and assault on a police officer.

• A 36-year-old man of Short Beach Road was arrested at 5:15 p.m. for violation of probation.

• A 45-year-old New Haven man was arrested at 5:20 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

 

Thursday, Aug. 14

• A 45-year-old man of Emma Road was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

• A 61-year-old man of Stevens Road was arrested at 7:25 p.m. and charged with sexual assault in the first degree and unlawful restraint in the first degree.

• A 35-year-old man of Foxon Road was arrested at 7:50 p.m. and charged with criminal violation of a protective order, disorderly conduct, and interfering with an emergency call.

• A 61-year-old New Haven man as arrested at 8:25 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear for a motor vehicle summons. 

 

Friday, Aug. 15

• A 19-year-old man of Palmetto Trail was arrested at 12:20 a.m. and charged with burglary in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, threatening in the second degree, assault in the third degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, traveling too fast for conditions, and failure to bring motor vehicle to a full stop.

• A 27-year-old man of Stevens Road was arrested at 9:10 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, and failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat.

• A 44-year-old man of View Terrace was arrested at 2 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.

• A 56-year-old man of Forest Street was arrested at 4:30 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

 

Saturday, Aug. 16

• A 38-year-old homeless man was arrested at 10:35 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to respond to an infraction, violation of probation, and larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 39-year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 12:18 a.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree.

 

Sunday, Aug. 17

• A 26-year-old North Haven man was arrested at 10:35 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, traveling unreasonably fast, and failure to drive in the proper lane.

 

Monday, Aug. 18

• A 62-year-old man of Hemingway Avenue was arrested at 8:47 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and cruelty to animals.

• A 43-year-old Milford woman was arrested at 4:32 p.m. and charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and possession of narcotics.

• A 53-year-old man of 127 Kenneth Street and a 40-year-old woman of the same address were both arrested at 6:07 p.m. on a search and seizure warrant and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a pistol/revolver and three counts of criminal possession of a firearm. The man was also charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, use and/or possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of illegal possession near a school or public housing, and illegal manufacture, distribution, or sale of a prescription drug. The warrant was obtained after an investigation into the sale of Percocet and Oxycotin. During the search officers seized 135 Percocet pills, $4,599 in cash, two pistols, two rifles, one shotgun, ammunition, a bag containing marijuana seeds, and various drug paraphernalia. The searched home is located within 1,500 feet of Tuttle School. The man was released on a $350,000 cash bond pending a Sept. 3 court date and the woman was held in lieu of a $250,000 bond and arraigned in court on the following day. 

• A 55-year-old New Haven man was arrested at 6:38 p.m. and charged with threatening in the second degree and criminal violation of a restraining order.

• A 42-year-old woman of Charter Oak Avenue was arrested at 8:37 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

 

Tuesday, Aug. 19

• A 22-year-old man of Old Foxon Road was arrested at 12:15 a.m. and charged with use and/or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A 35-year-old East Haven man was arrested at 1 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 40-year-old woman of Laurel Street was arrested at 7:15 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor.

• A 46-year-old woman of Weber Street was arrested at 10 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer.
